Mother and Child Heart Pattern
05/30/09 - Mother and Child - An effortless, yet elegant silhouette of a mother and child joined in such a way that the middle of the figure take the shape of a heart. Make sure that the pieces are partly cover each other, so that when fused they become one piece. Also position them so that the center of the piece forms a heart outline. Since this is still the month of May, this distinct figure is being placed on the Mother’s Day page.

Memorial Day Poppy Pattern
05/23/09 - Memorial Day - Memorial Day is this next Monday, and I have inserted a page on the web site to home any prospective patterns for this US holiday. There is currently only one pattern added to this page this year. The Memorial Day Poppy pattern has a link located on this page. This design requires layering the glass and fusing to a tack fuse to preserve the elements of this scarlet remembrance flower.

Cameo Brooch
05/19/09 - Cameo - A stylish pattern where layered glass is positioned to present the look of carved glass. Utilize stringers, dots and scrap glass to increase the layers. Very easy to design and construct. It is the initial pattern on the Mother’s Day patterns page.
Also place on the web site today is a page to assist anyone who has experienced the tragedy of getting glass on the heating elements within the kiln. There are a few helpful suggestions on this page to assist you in solving this dilemma.

Crinkled Dichroic
05/18/09 - Crinkled Dichroic Glass - Dichroic glass is magnificent to view. Crinkled dichroic glass still has that shimmer and spark, but has the extra attribute of bringing texture and depth to fused glass pieces. To find out more information about this new glass made by CBS, check out the page at Crinkled Dichroic Glass.
Well, this is the month of May, and I have started a few Mother’s Day Ventures. More examples, patterns and projects will be inserted to this page, not only this month, but each and every year as the month of May comes around.
